JEC, the world-renowned resource for composites industry services, support and expertise, today announced a new strategic partnership with Messe Frankfurt, Inc. – a major global tradeshow organizer – in a move designed to significantly broaden the group’s already robust array of resources for the Americas. Marking another major step forward in its 50-year history serving the Americas composites industry, JEC will leverage its new relationship with Messe Frankfurt, Inc. to co-locate its new annual springtime JEC Americas Composites Show & Conference from May 13-15, 2014 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta with two of Messe Frankfurt, Inc.’s events: Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas.
As a permanent source of knowledge and networking, JEC Group’s strategy is to strengthen its activity both on a global basis and in its three main regions (America, Europe and Asia). In North America, JEC Group is fully committed to serving the American composites industry through its media, summits, clusters and, starting in 2014, two annual events: a new spring JEC Americas event in Atlanta and the now well-established JEC Americas Conference in Boston each autumn.
“We are very proud to announce our new strategic alliance with Messe Frankfurt, Inc.,” said Mrs. Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group President and CEO.
“The Americas are a major global center of composites innovation, and are a beacon for industry players who wish to compete and thrive in the largest worldwide market. Teaming up with Messe Frankfurt, Inc. allows a strong presentation of technical textiles and composites solutions that will drive both industries forward. The JEC Board of Administration representing the composites industry is actively supporting this new cooperation.”
“We are very pleased with our new strategic alliance with the JEC Group” said Mr. John Gallagher, President of Messe Frankfurt, Inc.
“Composites are a critical, innovative product segment for technical textiles and this long term agreement allows a blending within the technical textiles and composites value chain – including materials producers, equipment manufacturers, end product fabricators and composite users.”
Three Events, One location
JEC’s third annual JEC Americas Exhibition & Conference in Atlanta will focus on the full composites value chain – from raw materials to manufacturing processes – and further underscores JEC’s unyielding commitment to the Americas’ composites industry. To be launched in conjunction with Messe Frankfurt, Inc.’s Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas, the 2014 JEC event will bring together global stakeholders in the composites industry to one place.
The JEC Americas Exhibition & Conference will incorporate many of the popular programs currently featured in all its platforms, including the Innovative Composites Summit Conferences, Innovation Awards and Innovation Showcase. Because mass production innovations in composites are at the heart of the event, Atlanta is the ideal location. The city offers an expansive scientific network with more than 30 universities, including the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is part of a key manufacturing area in the Americas. Further, Atlanta offers convenient access from virtually anywhere in the world.
Co-location with Techtextil and Texprocess will expand the value of the combined event, enabling JEC to showcase larger-scale production opportunities and offering convenient access to three simultaneous industry exhibitions. This new alliance and show provides an unparalleled opportunity for composites designers, manufacturers and suppliers to showcase their technologies, expand their expertise and network with a wide array of industry professionals. Attendees can gain a competitive edge in this ever growing market, helping to fulfill one of JEC’s key missions of sharing leading edge innovations within the composites market.
