Launch of JEC Korea Online: A 3-day event for the Asia Pacific Composites and signature of a major international MOU

Seoul, October 7, 2020 – Today, JEC Korea Online press conference took place in Seoul to officially launch the first JEC Group event 100% digital, JEC Korea Online, with KCTech and Jeonbuk region and was also the opportunity to sign a major MOU between KCTech, IACMI, Composites United and JEC Group.

During the press conference, Eric Pierrejean, JEC Group CEO, presented JEC Korea Online, the new digital event dedicated to European and the APAC Composites community leaders who wish to conduct business, benefit from timely content and network together to boost the composites industry. The event program will include JEC Composites Technical Conferences, JEC Innovation Awards, and the Startup Booster competition, all supported by JEC Korea major partners: KCTech, KITA and Jeonbuk region.

The press conference was also the opportunity for KCTech, Composites United, IACMI and JEC Group to sign a MOU about « Global networking and Industry supporting plan », aiming at creating a common and unique platform to cope with the current crisis and support composites industry on a worldwide basis, in particular with regards to normalization of the composites, carbon fibre, in many sectors. To make this plan more tangible, a first seminar was held between Mr Chung Doo Hwan from Korea Carbon Society, Mr Park Chong Soo from KCNA, Mr Kim Byung Ha from Jeonbuk, Mr Bang Yun Hyuk from KCTECH and Pr Park Chong Rae from Seoul National University, who presented their various developments and plans to recover from the crisis.

“KCTECH promotes online trade shows and conferences participation to help the composites industry grow, in close relationship with the whole value chain, and with JEC Group, supporting JEC Korea 2020 Online. In this particular context, this press conference about « Global networking and Industry supporting plan » with major counterparts of the sector has shown the promising future for the composites industry. During this press conference an MOU agreement was signed between: JEC Group, KCTECH, Composites United and IACMI.
