The 2nd International IIR Aircraft Forum - Composite and Lightweight Structures in Aircraft
/ Design and Manufacturing - will be held on 6 and 7 May 2008 in Munich, Germany. A visit of the production plant for Composite Structures of EUROCOPTER in Donauwörth by Munich!
plant visit is also organised  on 8 Mai 2008.

Whether larger external parts or materials in the area of the motor – composite materials are permeating into the airplane more and more. The greatest challenges with the introduction of this new technology is with the selection of the manufacturing processes.
Which inexpensive techniques make possible the optimal manufacturing processes? Which production strategies are pursuing the producers of airplanes? What are the new developments for thermoplastic composite materials? Which technical developments are there with prepreg, NCF and tape laying technologies?
