Duracosys 08 - 8th International conference on durability of composite systems - will be held in Porto, Portugal on July 16-18, 2008.

With the every day increasing introduction of composites in mechanical civil, piping, maritime, automotive, energy, aeronautical, aerospace, military and biomedical engineering applications, including joining aspects, reliability, life prediction and health monitoring of those products or constructions, under different and more extreme environmental conditions, becomes an essential issue.

Theoretical, experimental, computational and health monitoring analysis will be presented.
Special attention will be focused on:
• Accelerated testing and Analysis
• Durability and Residual Strength Prediction for Thick Composites
• Life Cycle Analysis
• Durability of Biocomposites
• Composites for Extreme Environments (particularly under fire)
