1st British Composites Society conference

The 1st British Composites Society conference will be held on September 02 and 03 in the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, UK.

Organised by IOM Communications Ltd on behalf of The British Composites Society, a division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together active members of the UK composites community, informing and providing an overview on current areas of research. It is anticipated that this will facilitate discussions between members and lead to future collaborations.

Invited keynote and specialist speakers will initiate discussions highlighting new areas of composites development and future directions for research within specified themes. In addition , established researchers are invited to submit abstracts providing a current overview of composites research being performed within their institution. The Executive Committee will then select abstracts for either oral presentation or for presentation as posters

It is anticipated that the conference will include a number of themes
Civil Aerospace and Defence
Enabling Technologies
Infrastructure & Energy
Transport - Surface and Marine
New Directons - Multifunctional, Nano & Natural Composites
