Research Technologists
Rieter Automotive Systems, a division of the Rieter Group, is one of the world’s leading suppliers of noise control and thermal insulation systems in motor vehicles. We operate forty production plants in Europe, North America and Latin America. This position is being strengthened and developed further by our various Research and Technology Centers.
For our Center of Excellence Products, Materials and Process in Switzerland, we are looking for
Research Technologists
Within the Product, Material and Process Research and Technology team you will instigate and lead developments in textile, plastic and other materials, processes and components to achieve the set targets. Main tasks will be to source and develop new materials as well as develop new and improved processes for textile based automotive components. You will work closely with customers and our internal Customer Business Units, manufacturing plants and Development Centers within project teams that support the commercial introduction of new materials and processes. The position thus offers an opportunity to work on the improvement of the acoustical comfort and thermal management of vehicles for a variety of automotive customers in an international environment at a high technical level.
Candidates should have a technical/scientific degree in materials, textiles or plastic technology and several years of professional experience in one of these fields. You have the ability to challenge currnet processes and products with a strong customer focus and continuously look for ways to improve. In order to be successful you possess a logical, hands on and practical approach and excellent problem solving skills, while using open and transparent communication in a multi-cultural team. English is a must, German and French are a plus.
