P+Z Engineering selects Vistagy's FiberSIM® software as specialized sesign tool for composites division
VISTAGY, Inc., the developer of engineering software that provides specialized functionality to commercial CAD/PDM/PLM systems, announced that P+Z Engineering GmbH of Munich, Germany has purchased FiberSIM® software as its composites design tool. In addition, P+Z Engineering recently established a composite materials division and will leverage VISTAGY’s experience and knowledge of composites to automate the design and manufacturing processes for commercial and military aircraft and automotive part development.
P+Z Engineering will use FiberSIM to design and simulate new products made of advanced composite materials. Specialized capabilities in FiberSIM such as grid-based design and detailed 2D and 3D documentation will help engineers streamline engineering tasks and processes. The company expects to greatly reduce development cycle times and costs, and more accurately manufacture parts based on customer specifications.
“At P+Z Engineering, we’ve established a composites design team to augment engineering and design services for our customers,” said Andreas Gundel, manager of business development at P+Z Engineering. “FiberSIM will be the standard composite design tool for the team.
