ITW Performace Polymers acquires Franklynn Industries

ITW Performance Polymers, an Illinois Tool Works company, has aquired Franklynn Industries, the Ohio-based manufacturer of DIAMONDKOTE and AQUALIFT environmentally safe mould release coatings.
Developed from innovative research, these water-based coatings are used worldwide in the moulding of rubber, EVA, composite, FRP, polyurethane, polyester and thermoplastic parts. Odorless, non-flammable, quick-curing and thermally stable, they replace high-VOC chemicals in the cleaning and coating of moulds. Other Franklynn Industries products include anti-squeak, rustproofing, anti-graffitit and weather-strip coatings.
"Several ITW Performance Polymers companies currently serve the composites and plastics manufacturing and assembly markets," said Sevan Demirdogen, head of the ITW Performance Polymers acquisition team. "With the addition of Franklynn's mould release agents, we can offer our customers in these markets an even more comprehensive arrary of products."
