NIDAPLAST HONEYCOMBS LANCE LE nidaplast®8RI et ouvre le nid d'abeille aux grandes pièces industrielles en combinant le nid d'abeille et l'infusion.
NIDAPLAST HONEYCOMBS, inventeur et spécialiste du nid d’abeille extrudé en polypropylène, élargit sa gamme de produits en proposant pour la première fois l’utilisation du nid d’abeille pour l’infusion. Les propriétés combinées du matériau et du procédé offrent un résultat très performant et plus économique grâce à l’utilisation optimale de la résine et au contrôle rigoureux des taux de verre.

Une combinaison inédite
« L’association nouvelle de la technologie de l’infusion aux propriétés du nid d’abeille est le résultat d’une étude conduite en 2006 », indique Richard Filippi, Directeur Marketing et Développement. « Par rapport aux techniques de stratification, la combinaison du nid d’abeille et de l’infusion offre de meilleures caractéristiques mécaniques grâce à un taux de verre plus élevé et permet une optimisation des propriétés du sandwich », précise-t-il.
L’étanchéité à la résine du nid d’abeille est obtenue grâce à la pose par thermo-collage d’un film plastique renforcé, et l’optimisation du flux de résine dans le moule par l’association de drainants inter-laminaires spécialement sélectionnés. Ce drainant est ajouté de part et d’autre du nid d’abeille et reste en général dans la structure.

De nouvelles applications
Déjà largement utilisé pour tout type de pièces en petite et moyenne série avec la technique du contact ou de la projection, « l’infusion permet l’industrialisation de la mise en œuvre du nid d’abeille pour de grandes pièces » remarque Richard Filippi. « Elle ouvre la voie à de nouvelles applications, pour la production de pièces et outillages de toutes dimensions, destinés aux industries nautique, éolienne, aux biens d’équipement … ».
Les propriétés techniques de la gamme nidaplast®8RI permettent en effet de construire des cabines d’éoliennes, des coques, des cloisons ou des ponts de bateau, des coques de piscines.
Par ailleurs, le nidaplast®8RI permet de répondre aux normes environnementales relatives aux COV (composés organiques volatiles). « Cette nouvelle gamme nous permet d’accompagner nos clients dans leur démarche écologique tout en conservant les spécificités techniques du nid d’abeille ».

Industrialisation des procédés
NIDAPLAST HONEYCOMBS complète désormais son aide au pré-dimensionnement des structures grâce au logiciel de calcul par éléments finis « Magics ». Ce nouvel outil permet l’évaluation du sandwich structurel dans des applications nouvelles. En assistant ses clients dès la conception avec le dimensionnement mécanique des pièces, NIDAPLAST HONEYCOMBS élargit une technique reconnue en aéronautique à toutes les autres industries : celle du nid d’abeille.
