Bayer MaterialScience raises prices for hydroxyacrylates, unsaturated polyester and alkyd resins
Bayer MaterialScience AG raises the prices for hydroxyacrylates, unsaturated polyester resins and alkyd resins in the region EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) by an average of EUR 0,15/kg effective September 15, 2007.
The company wants to make these products continuously available to the customers in adequate volume and quality. The price rise safeguards the availability of necessary production capacity and logistics. Persistently high costs for raw materials and energy as well as continuously high expenses to fulfill the necessary safety standards and regulatory requirements cannot be offset by internal measures to increase efficiency alone. This does not affect contractual obligations in existence as of the date of this news release.
Bayer MaterialScience AG is one of the worlds leading suppliers of resins for paints, coatings, synthetic resin putties and other areas.
