Norplex-Micarta appoints new facilities engineer/maintenance manager
Norplex-Micarta, manufacturer of high performance thermoset composites, announces the appointment of Dan Krammen to the position of Facilities Engineer/Maintenance Manager at the company’s corporate headquarters in Postville, Iowa. Mr. Krammen will be responsible for overseeing and directing all maintenance activities, which includes managing capital projects and improving machine-related productivity and quality within the material treater department. Additional responsibilities include optimization of existing processes and facilitation of project expediency.
Prior to his promotion, Mr. Krammen served as the product development engineer in which he managed the design and development of new Norplex-Micarta sheet, tubing, rod, and molded shape products. Previously, Mr. Krammen was a senior manufacturing and quality assurance engineer at Rockwell Automation and has more than 25 years of engineering experience in a wide range of industries, including automotive, marine, and electrical. Mr. Krammen studied engineering at Illinois State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology.
“During his time at Norplex-Micarta, Dan has demonstrated his exceptional understanding of our machinery and manufacturing processes,” said Dennis Ford, Norplex-Micarta Vice President and General Manager. “This will enable him to continue the Norplex-Micarta focus on product quality and plant productivity. We look forward to the experience and knowledge that Dan will bring to his new role.”
