Elbit Vision Systems Ltd. (EVS) holds a family of automatic fabric inspection systems, named IQ-TEX, based on unique “image understanding” algorithms that actually imitate the human visual mechanism. IQ-TEX detects diverse spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing and coating defects on any uni-color fabric.

The IQ-TEX Lite enables the implementation of automatic web inspection on a wide variety of industrial production lines. The system’s flexible hardware and software can be adapted to the requirements of many types of web manufacturers, such as: diverse resolutions, different web widths and varied speed applications. The SVA Lite is a system which measures, monitors, analyzes and controls textile shade consistency during fabric flow. 
The SVA Lite provides:
¤ real time shade readings;
¤ alarm alerts;
¤ exports data to the dyeing control computer ¤ includes automatic cut-planning and roll sorting options designed to maximize yield and profits.

IQ-TEX Lite for Composite Material
EVS’ solution for the inspection of composite material is based on a modular concept integrated in EVS IQ-TEX LiteTM system and functions as a platform for diverse applications such as: Film, Nonwoven, Glass, Tire cord, Narrow stripes (seat belts) and more.

EVS’ IQ-TEX Lite comprises of three elements: Hardware components – SVC (Smart Video Camera that includes image acquisition unit and processing unit), illumination unit and network with online PC. Dedicated software algorithms for each application - for the detection of web defects. Exclusive mechanical configuration - for installation of the system’s cameras and accessories.

The system is adaptable to monitor most composite surfaces which are comprised of yarn where the flaws are long and narrow such as unidirectional (prepreg), multiaxial (3D machines) and woven webs, as well as the non-woven web where the composite surface is solid or sandwich laminated.

The IQ-TEX Lite helps increase web production yield by detecting defects with greater accuracy and objectivity over manual approaches.

The system is capable of inspecting composite web used in: Aerospace (Civil and Military aircrafts), Automotive, commercial products (swimming pools, Tennis rackets etc.), Marine industry, Wind Turbine blades and more.

The system’s defects classification strictly conforms to highest universal standards such as in the Aircraft industry and offers optimized software algorithms – we’ve optimized the software where the major consideration is the system’s accuracy and reliability in detecting the required defects.
