Ultrasound camera for instant composite defect detection

© Imperium
Imperium's introduces the AcoustoCam I500 ultrasound imaging camera, the latest generation of devices which provide a real-time view of subsurface targets. They represent a user-friendly alternative to standard flaw detectors or phased array systems, and can provide real-time C-scan with easy to read video as well as standard A-scan information.
The AcoustoCam uses DAV technology, a completely new imaging modality. Its crisp real-time imagery removes the uncertainty of A-scan waveforms alone or complex phased array systems.
Imperium's nondestructive testing (NDT) products allow inspectors to instantly visualize a variety of subsurface faults. The Acoustocam industrial imaging products instantly detect voids, delaminations, cracks, and corrosion in materials in both manufacturing and in-service environments. We have experience in the following industries: Aerospace, Aircraft,
Wind Energy, Sporting Goods, Boats and Automotive.
Compared with current imaging modalities, Imperium¹s AcoustoCam provides the following advantages: Low Cost, Meant for Nonspecialist, Real Time, Noninvasive, Little Training Required and Video Output.
Operating the Acoustocam
The AcoustoCam is easy to operate. Users place ultrasound gel on the area under investigation, then apply the AcoustoCam probe to the area and begin imaging. Once an area of interest is discovered, the image can be saved for later evaluation. Users begin using the system the first day.
