New contract for Daher with Stork-Fokker for the latest Gulfstream business jet

© DAHER
The equipment and services supplier Daher has announced on April 22nd, 2008 a new contract with Stork-Fokker for the design and manufacture of composite structural elements for the ‘G650’, the latest Gulfstream business jet.
Stork-Fokker has just assigned the manufacture of the upper part of the vertical tail including the antenna protectors to Daher for the new Gulfstream business jet, the "G650".
Daher benefits from a wealth of experience in the design, development and manufacturing of composite structural assemblies already produced for other aircraft manufacturers, including Airbus, Eurocopter, Dassault, Embraer and other equipment and services suppliers such as Latecoere.
With an external surface area of 9 m2, the upper part of the vertical tail including the antenna protectors will be designed with a metal structure and composite panels.
The first prototype will be presented in December 2008 and the manufacture will begin at the start of 2009. The manufacturing will be centred around the Daher Aerospace site situated in Saint Julien de Chédon, in the Centre (41) region of France.
With this contract, Daher reinforces its presence in the aerospace sector specifically in the design and manufacture of composite structural assemblies, diversifies its customer-base by getting involved in new programmes and internationalizes its Tier 1 partnership offer within the European and American markets.
