IDI Composites International announces its E-200 Series of Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) for use in alternate energy applications. The E-200 Series is able to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh environments common to wind turbines, solar photovoltaic panels, and fuel cells without loosing any of its high-performance physical properties.

The E-200 Series SMC has superior resistance to corrosion, UV deterioration, and various contaminates, making it ideal for use in alternate energy applications that undergo frequent exposure to sun, heat, moisture, and other natural elements. E-200 SMC also provides excellent structural rigidity, a high strength-to-weight ratio, and is fire code compliant.

IDI also offers Bulk Molding Compounds (BMC), which offer similar high-performance properties ideal for alternate energy applications. BMC will not rust, creep, or fade like traditional materials, such as metals and thermoplastics, and is available for injection molding requirements.
