Industrial heaters for the composite industry

© Thermex
Thermex-Thermatron located in Louisville, Kentucky, USA announced on July 14, 2008 that they are making a major sales and marketing push into the Advance Composites Industry with their line of industrial RF and MW heaters.
Ray Lund-President of Thermex-Thermatron stated: “Our customers have seen the benefits of our specialty engineered heaters in their manufacturing process, especially in the manufacturing of honeycomb made from Nomex® and Kevlar® papers. Our 40KW RF heated presses are fast becoming the industry norm in the first process step of manufacturing large honeycomb blocks. We see an opportunity in the advance composite industry with our clean environmentally friendly approach of heating/curing of composites consisting of dielectric materials.”
Thermex-Thermatron has hired Paul Kennedy as their Business Development Manager for the Advance Composites Market. Paul brings over 20 plus years of experience in advance composite manufacturing to the Thermex-Thermatron family.
Paul Kennedy Stated: “Thermex-Thermatron has the knowledge and experience to bring manufacturing change to Advance Composites. Our goal is to think outside the box when it comes to manufacturing and heating of advance composite materials. Our new advance composite customers will see a number of cost saving benefits in manufacturing such as: Higher Yields, Increase rate of Production, Energy Efficiency and Improved product quality/consistency. An immediate area of interest we see is in heating of composite dielectric materials in pultrusion, filament winding, and compression molding.”
