New range of pultruded structural laminates
CST structural laminates are unidirectional Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) and can be used for reinforcement of concrete, metal, wood and composite structural members. They are available in a range of sizes from 50, 75, 100, 120 and 150mm wide varying in thickness from 1 to 4mm.
The strip is available in three different stiffnesses/strengths. Standard, intermediate and high modulus carbon fibre grades are combined via continuous pultrusion with a high performance epoxy resin. The resultant product offers very high ultimate tensile strength, high modulus of elasticity and excellent fatigue and corrosion resistance.
Typical applications for the strip are reinforcing members for wind turbine blades, building/bridge reinforcement, and marine structure stiffening.
The profiles can be supplied with roughened peel ply finish giving excellent adhesion and minimal substrate preparation required prior to bonding. Laminates are ready to use when combined with a suitable high strength adhesive.
