Book: FRP market in Iran
FRP market in Iran
Edited by A.M. Rezadoust, M. Esfandeh & A. Dayani
Iran's composites industry has shown significant growth during the last seven years, experiencing an average annual growth of 34%. The Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute (IPPI) with the collaboration of Alborz Composites Co. and Polyfiber Co. have published the first edtion of the report on the FRP market in Iran. The second edition of this report contains 18 figures and covers the current status of the country's FRP industry, important figures for raw materials (fibers and resins), FRP products, processing equipment, training programs and human resources. A full directory of active companies in this field is also included. The report will be prepared in MAY 2009 and each copy costs $135.
Nowadays, information and statistics play an important role in preparing business plans and are essential for industrial and commercial development. Considering the ambiguity and uncertainty in statistics in Iran's FRP market regarding raw material consumption, processing methods used, etc…., since 2007, composites department of Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute (IPPI) with the collaboration of Iran Composite Network (Alborz Composites) and Polyfiber Co. has published several documented articles in this regard in Iran Polymer Society magazine, Composites magazine (Quarterly), Iran Composites Industry newsletter (Bimonthly). At the same year, the first edition of the book "An overview on FRP market in Iran" was published (in 1000 copies) which was greatly welcomed by industrialists and academics. The second edition of this book will be published in Persian and English languages (only market statistics and companies directory sections). The book will be distributed among composites industry activists in Iran and provides a great opportunity for industrialists to introduce their products, activities and potentials.
The book covers the following subjects:
1. Iran's FRP market
• Statistics on consumption of resins, fibers and composite products in Iran.
• Raw materials production, processing facilities and the situation of human resources.
• Market share of various processing methods and fiber suppliers.
2. Directory of Iran's Composites Industry.
3. Technical information
• Mold release agents.
• Vacuum resin infusion.
• Machining of composites.
• Composites mold-making.
• Quality control in composite labs.
• Health and safety in composite workshops.
