Cray Valley announces price increase on resins for composites
Cray Valley announced on the first of February a price increase of 8%, unless specific agreement, effective for all orders shipped on or after February 15, 2010, on all UPRs and their derivates sold to the Composites and Cast Polymer Industries in Europe, North Africa and Middle East.
Philippe Vindevoghel, Commercial Director Composites Europe, explained: "This increase is an unavoidable response to the sharp raise of prices of all main key feedstocks and raw materials utilized to manufacture polyester resins. We are expecting this situation to continue as some raw materials prices could increase further through the next quarter. In very difficult material market conditions, Cray Valley makes every effort to minimize any further increases and ensures that a consistent supply of our key raw materials can be maintained. We appreciate our customers understanding and our commercial teams will be available throughout Europe to give further background to this price increase".
About Cray Valley
Part of Total's Chemicals branch, the group formed by Cray Valley, Cook Composites & Polymers and Sartomer is the first resins manufacturer in the world, with sales of 1.9 billion euros and 3.800 employees worldwide.
