Since its foundation in 1995 by Uponor Oyj ja a Finnish inventor Kari Kirjavainen, Conenor Ltd. is today a private management owned technology company developing its innovative and patented CONEX®- extruder technology and TRIAXCELL® - oriented cellular film & sheet processes and licensing them in manufacturing various product applications worldwide. In 2002 Conenor focused its R&D efforts in developing Conex® into a novel process and extruder where all composite wood and other natural fibre extrusion processing steps; grinding of wood, moisture removal, grinding of plastics, gentle but fully completed compounding of wood and plastics and necessary additives (if any), and the extrusion of products are all done on-line in one step and by one single equipment; the Conex® Wood Extruder. A special additional feature is helical fibre orientation resulted by the helical material flow pattern created inside the extruder and giving WPC-products extra strength.
