Nanoledge is a manufacturer of resins and we specialized in the integration of nanoparticles into composites to improve performances and supply eco-friendly materials. Nanoledge develops novel and innovative eco-resin systems based on nanoparticle fillers to enhance damage tolerance and electrical conductivity in resins.

The aim is to replace conventional macro fillers with nanoparticles and reach better performance levels with fewer chemicals, thereby complying with environmental concerns. Nanoformulation for Advanced Nanostructured Materials

Nanoledge is focusing on the development and production of materials enhanced by nanoparticles (most of our products are currently based on carbon nanotubes). We use herein and indistinctly the words nanomaterials, or nanocomposites, or nanostructured materials/composites, to describe materials that are obtained by integrating nanoparticles (e.g., multi-wall carbon nanotubes) into host polymers – hence the expression nanoformulation.

In our definition, the concept of nanoformulation is comprehensive in its practical terms. It includes at once:
- The selection of raw materials;
- The synergistic blending of all experimental components by our technology;
- The transfer of Nanoledge’s expertise on composite materials and implementation into industrial manufacturing processes, for the production by our clients of intermediate products used in component parts with enhanced properties.

Nanoledge is driving innovation in a growth market with enormous economic potential. Nanoledge will grow in the future on the basis of the inherent strength of its Technology Platform to create additional IP on the applications of nanomaterials, to manufacture novel nanoformulated resins for composites, as well as to increase further market penetration - more specifically in Sporting Goods, Wind Energy, high tech and Aeronautics.

Nanoledge sells its nanobase resins to formulators and prepreggers. Today, our products are filled with carbon nanotubes, but soon they will be filled with other nanoparticles such as nanoclays or nanosilica. A series of nanoformulated resins is developed following a problem solving approach, taking into account PERFORMANCE, MATRIX, PROCESS and APPLICATION.

Nanoledge's technology: NANO IN
Over the past 5 years, NANOLEDGE has developed a genuine know-how in the production, dispersion and integration of nanoparticles into thermosetting resins of the EPOXY polymer type.

This expertise, resulting originally from R&D conducted at the CNRS (France’s national scientific research center), led to the development of our patented technology “NANO IN” - which enables the integration of nanoparticles into high performance, eco-friendly and multifunctional composite materials. The NANO IN integrated nanoparticles create/improve conductivity, strength, flexibility, toughness, chemical resistance, compression & fatigue of materials.

- « NANO IN » enables the unique intrinsic properties of carbon nanotubes to be transferred into composite materials, thus opening up various perspectives for creating high performance & multifunctional materials.

- « NANO IN » reduces the level of chemical toxicity whilst maintaining/enhancing the level of performance of materials, thus also reducing the environmental impact of chemistry.

- « NANO IN » enhances the properties of bio/eco resins with fewer chemicals to make them “similar in properties” to conventional resins.

Nanoledge derives its high level of expertise in nanoparticles chemistry and materials science from its former activity as a nanoparticles manufacturer.

 

Nanoledge's product: NANO IN Res
Nanoledge is focusing on improving damage tolerance as well as electrical conductivity in the development of its nanoformulations. "NANO IN" resins are novel and innovative products with superior mechanical, electrical & multifunctional properties. They are filled with nanoparticles using our proprietary "NANO IN" technology. These products are compatible with conventional processes (e.g., laminates, RTM, prepreg, ...) and are packaged as ready-to-use thermosetting resins.

Nanobase products portfolio is a range of epoxy base resins specifically designed to meet the requirements of formulators and prepreg manufacturers.
