History
In 1963, the association JEC, a non-profit organization, dedicated to the promotion of composite materials and to the development of their markets was created, now named JEC CPC (JEC Composites Promotion College). The first information bulletin published by the association has become over time the JEC Composites Magazine, the world’s leading magazine dedicated to composite materials, their technologies and application sectors.
In 1965, a first conference on Composites has been created, which is now JEC World, the leading international composites show and the annual must-attend event of the composite materials community.
The JEC SAS company was created in December 1996 as a subsidiary of the JEC CPC association and has developed its activities to become the leading international entity entirely dedicated to the promotion of composite materials industry. Key pillars of its portfolio are in particular:
- JEC Composites Magazine, which has become the leading magazine in the Composites industry,
- JEC World, the world’s leading annual industry event gathering the whole value chain of composites, but also attracting many visitors from various application sectors looking for inspiration and innovative solutions presented during this unique “festival of composites”,
- The JEC Innovation Awards, the most sought-after and the most prestigious awards in the field of Composites,
- The JEC Composites Observer, the annual report about the state of the Composites industry and its future trends,
- The JEC Composites Startup Booster, the industry’s largest startup competition.
- The JEC Composites conferences, presentations of leaders covering the current challenges of the industry.
- The JEC Forums and Summits, some composites events with conferences and business meetings, targeted specific regions and or application sectors, organized in a city or online.
JEC is also the leading community manager of the Composites Industry on the main social networks and thanks to its website, is the go-to source of information and data about Composites materials, processes and technologies, as well as about their various applications in many industries worldwide.
JEC is constantly delivering services contributing to:
- The development of all segments of the Composites value chain and of all markets in the world,
- The promotion of the various new applications domains of composites and demonstrating key benefits towards end-users.
