Business opportunities in Asia

The market for composite materials is growing all over the world. In 2016, it tipped the scales at 10.4 metric tons in terms of volume, for a worth of US$82 billion. Forecasts for 2021 are predicting 12.9 MT and US$103 billion – which should satisfy those who think big!

Asia carries a lot of weight in this market, accounting for more than half of the volume and 40%+ of the value. According to forecasts for 2021, China will account for more than 60% of worldwide growth. All these figures inspire us to present this series of conferences on the growth opportunities offered by the region’s major countries, i.e. Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, India and Taiwan. Each of the countries offers different potentials as a function of factors such as population, geography, government strategies, levels of development, investments, and training, legislation, size of the application markets, and also the positions of other materials that are (and we don’t want to forget this) the main competitors of composite materials.

So the six events on our program for the 2nd and 3rd days of the tradefair provide a real opportunity to learn more and find the keys to an understanding of these very different markets.
