Why Knoxville?

Knoxville, Tennessee: A key location

JEC Forums Knoxville 2016

Choosing Knoxville as a location for JEC Forums’ International Conference on Automotive Technologies was an obvious decision considering its strategic position in the composites industry. Indeed, the University of Tennessee situated in Knoxville is one of the lead institutions that are part of IACMI, whose main focuses and trends are automotive manufacturing. The latter fits perfectly with the kind of knowledge JEC Forums aims to bring to this conference event, and with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) only a few miles away, their Carbon Fiber Technology Facility at the forefront of innovation and research, is within very easy access.

Knoxville includes organizations such as Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and University of Tennessee Knoxville, and offers a variety of places to see within the city such as Old City, Market Square, etc.
