Country of honor

Exhibitor facts and figures:

The global composite industry registered an annual growth rate of 5% from 2002 to 2010, and is now worth 60 billion euros (8 million metric tons).
Reflecting the evolution of a dynamic industry that has penetrated all application sectors, the 45th JEC Composites Show in Paris attracted more than 1,000 exhibiting companies. Its 46,500 m² of surface area was divided into eight exhibition areas.

Worthy of note
  • With many more German exhibitors than in 2009, Germany led among the exhibitors from abroad, ahead of the United States, China and Great Britain. The inflow helped to consolidate JEC Composites Show’s position as a leader inthe European market.
  • The 19.5% increase in the number of exhibitors from the Asia-Pacific region.
  • There were 41% more exhibiting brand names in 2010 than in 2006.
  • 117 new companies attended the JEC Composites Show for the first time in 2010.

There were a large number of regional and international pavilions.

participation of Lamborghini. The pavilions included Germany
(Bavaria, Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia), China, France (Aquitaine,
Charente Maritime, Pays de la Loire, Nord Pas de Calais),the USA, India, Malaysia, Quebec, the Czech Republic, Rumania, the UK and Wallonia. GPIC (Groupement de la Plasturgie Industrielle et des Composites), the European Composites Industry Association (EUCIA), and Clubtex, among others, were also represented.
Once again, the SME Discovery and Education & Skills villages located at the trade fair entrance gave companies with under 50 employees and training organizations the opportunity to present their products, services and technologies in highly favourable conditions.

This year, the Show hosted national trade organizations from all over the world, including the Asia Pacific region with Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan.
These organizations play a major role in promoting the event to their members. Their participation took the form of national pavilions, speakers in the forums, innovations proposed for the JEC Innovation Awards programme, and the coordination of VIP visitor delegations.
