JEC Composites

JEC’s vocation, mission and history

JEC is dedicated to promoting composites internationally. It supports the development of these materials by fostering knowledge transfer and exchanges between suppliers and users. To date, the JEC network connects more than 250,000 professionals worldwide from 96 different countries.

JEC is a simplified joint stock company established under French law that was created by the Composites Promotion Center (CPC), a non-profit association that holds the capital. Its mission is to develop products and services for its customers and for the composite industry.

The company’s policy is to reinvest all income into developing new products and services.

JEC’s Board of Directors is made up of heads of international companies from the different industry segments (Raw Material Producers, semi-finished Product Manufacturers, and Part Manufacturers).

JEC brings together all segments of the global composite industry. The following companies are on the Board of Directors: ADVANCED COMPOSITES GROUP, AGY, CHOMARAT, CRAY VALLEY, CPC, DSM, HEXCEL, HUNTSMAN, MENZOLIT, OWENS CORNING VETROTEX, PORCHER INDUSTRIES, SORA.

A strong user-oriented strategy
JEC’s mission is to:

  • Inform about major composites events, economic and technological developments, new products and new applications
  • Organise exchanges and facilitate connections among all involved players-raw material producers, processors, distributors, machines and software manufacturers, institutions, academics, researchers and users (Aeronautics, Automotive, Defense, Marine, Mass Transit, Construction, Energy, Sports & Leisure, etc.)

JEC’s offering is directed at the 550,000 composite industry professionals around the world, JEC’s broad range of products/services and its many promotional activities facilitate the development of business-to-business know-how and connections within the composite industry.

Its upstream and downstream connections allow JEC to represent the entire industry, from high-tech to consumer products. JEC organises a “cross-pollination” among the different segments so that all might benefit from the accumulated experience.
