The Composites Australia annual composites conference, with the theme From nano to macro, will be held in Sydney, on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th April 2016 with a technical workshop on Tuesday 12th April.
Once again, the conference is attracting global and national industry leaders and promises delegates two powerful days of knowledge exchange, networking and business development opportunities.
The 2015 event saw delegates and speakers travel from as far afield as Canada, Germany, Iran, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, The Netherlands, USA and Uzbekistan to attend the conference, which was officially opened by The Honourable Karen Andrews, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry and Science with Professor Murray Scott (CRC-ACS) and Composites Australia’s Genelle Coghlan and Kerryn Caulfield.
They are pleased to have esteemed scientist and lecturer in advanced composites, Dr Leslie Jay Cohen, will be the international keynote speaker in 2016. Recognition of his achievements include the USSR Gold Medal for Science and Technology, Foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Judd Hall Award for Manufacturing of Composites and SAMPE Fellow. Dr Cohen is also the recipient of the prestigious George Lubin Award for excellence in composites from SAMPE.
