In 2012, the concept of electric mobility was talked about like never before. Particularly with the Hirtzman Mission launched last October and the subsidies granted to enable people to buy their own vehicles, the government has proven its willingness to change people's conceptions and to actively support the electric revolution.
Based on this trend, MunichExpo GmbH launched the 2nd eCarTec Paris, which is the main trade fair for electric mobility. The first edition of the event in April 2012 was a clear success. "We are pleased with the success of eCarTec Paris 2012 at Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles. 96 companies showcased their innovations and visions for the future regarding electric mobility to more than 2,400 visitors, over an exhibition space measuring close to 6000 square metres. eCarTec Paris has established itself as the largest event in France for electric mobility" explained Robert Metzger, Director of MunichExpo GmbH.
eCarTec Paris 2013 will take place at Porte de Versailles from 16-18 April 2013 and will be structured around the central themes of electric vehicles, storage, energy and infrastructure technologies, drive and propulsion technologies, engineering and sub-contracting, as well as financing. All these topics will be presented in an exhibition that will showcase the latest technologies, a conference hosted by international experts, and a test track, eCarLiveDrive, where visitors can test-drive electric vehicles.
A first for this year: in partnership with ExtraEnergy France, eCarTec Paris will launch eBikeTec, a platform entirely dedicated to electric bikes. For visitors to the trade fair, the event will provide an exhibition area, a specialist test track and a conference that touches upon the key topics of lightweight electric mobility.
eCarTech Paris 2013 offers choice partners for its 2013 edition. Already present in 2012, l'Avere France will set up a joint pavilion with MunichExpo. The French Association for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells (AFHYPAC) will help to promote the trade fair to exhibitors and visitors and will enrich the conference programme with its three speakers. Lastly, ExtraEnergy France, the association for the promotion of lightweight vehicles, will set up the first platform dedicated to electric bikes, eBikeTec.
Our event will also give engineers, designers, buyers, tradesmen, consumers, vehicle fleet operators and political decision-makers the opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest advances in the field of electro-mobility. Therefore, the trade fair brings together main players who offer complete and complementary solutions to the electric mobility sector.
