SAMPE UK & Ireland Chapter, with the NCC, are organising a Master Class to provide a discussion forum for professionals who are interested in addressing the impact of disruptive innovations upon current composites technology.

The scope of the Master Class will include questions such as:

  • In a rapidly changing world, how will composites technology evolve in the future?
  • Will innovations be disruptive, creating new or changing existing markets and value networks?
  • Will innovations sustain and contribute to the evolution of existing technologies to deliver better value?
  • Can composite materials, particularly CFRP, become more mainstream and widely challenge metallics?
  • How can composite materials and processes develop to compete and how can composite designers and engineers implement ‘disruptive design’.

This seminar will be an opportunity to discuss future visions for composites and perspectives from industry, so that we can learn from each other and push composites technology forward into the future.

Places are limited and priority will be given to professional members of SAMPE UK and Ireland, as well as NCC members.

The event will take place on the 2 October 2013, in the National Composites Centre, Bristol, UK.
