GBT confirms the first course in Blade Production will be held September 10th thru 14th, 2012, in Wieringerwerf, The Netherlands.
GBT is offering courses on various components of the wind rotor blade production process. These courses are designed to improve efficiency and quality in the process, so that better blades are rolling off the floor at a lower cost. The first course in the infusion processes in wind energy will be held at GBT's headquarters near Amsterdam in the Netherlands from September 10-14, 2012. The cost for the class covers the course materials, documentation and use of the R&D lab.
The class will be taught by two GBT engineers while participants will be actively performing infusion processes on flat table molds as well as on the R&D mold. The R&D mold is the first 8 meters of a 40m (1.5MW) mold. This tool includes the most important features in a typical blade; root, widest chord, transition zones, spar caps, and multi-curvature surfaces. The participant leaves this course with hands-on experience infusing a wind blade.
The course seating is limited, so please reserve your space soon. Additional courses will be announced within the next several weeks.
If you are interested in participating in any of these courses for yourself or your personnel, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
