Technological and market innovations are transforming the capacities and ambitions of the offshore wind industry.

But new frontiers bring new opportunities and challenges – it is essential for all stakeholders to be up to date with the rapid changes facing our industry.

Within a short period of time, Taiwan has emerged as an important offshore wind market in East Asia due to its ideal conditions for wind energy and the government’s commitment to developing the industry.

In January 2018, the offshore wind energy target was increased to 5.5GW by 2025, and Taiwan continues to ride the wave of its offshore success by increasing their commitment yet again to add a further 10GW of offshore wind capacity off the Asian island between 2026 and 2035.

This three-day event will address the current challenges and opportunities for Taiwan’s offshore wind market while exploring how Taiwan’s experience of building an offshore wind market can be used in the global context.

At the Global Offshore Wind Summit – Taiwan 2020, more than 50 speakers and presenters will put attendees at the forefront of every aspect of the wind industry.

The event is typically attended by local experts, government officials and industry representatives from OEMs, developers, service providers, national associations, policy-makers, and more- all the stakeholders in Taiwan’s offshore sector will be under one roof to discuss the future of this burgeoning industry.

This event will be held online on 12-14 October 2020.
