The international conference on advanced elastomer, composite and thermoplastic materials in oil and gas applications
23-25 October 2012, Millennium Gloucester Hotel, London, United Kingdom

Organised by Applied Market Information Ltd. (AMI) and MERL

Applied Market Information Ltd. (AMI) and the Materials Engineering Research Laboratory (MERL) have scheduled the 8th international MERL Oilfield Engineering with Polymers 2012 conference and exhibition, for 23-25 October 2012 at the exclusive Millennium Gloucester Hotel in central London.  There is a welcome reception and exhibition on the first evening followed by a two day programme.

MERL Oilfield Engineering with Polymers 2012 provides an international forum for oilfield operators, contractors and their suppliers. The technical programme reflects the current challenges and solutions for the use of plastics, elastomers and composite materials in oilfield engineering.   Themes include: supercritical CO2, extreme environments (arctic conditions, HPHT, sour fluids etc.), new materials, rapid gas decompression, qualification testing, long-term reliability and industry standards. Polymers play a critical role such as coatings, insulation, bonded and flexible pipes, hoses, seals, joints and bearings, inflatable tools, umbilicals, risers, blow out preventers etc.
