JEC Group have brought together the international community of composites leaders and executives in our Composites Circle as an unique networking opportunity to meet with both peers and future partners.
Fibermaq, a Brazilian specialist in equipment for composites molding, announces the development of three accessories for spray-up and gelcoat machines.
The first is a filter installed between the outlet of the peroxide (MEKP) packaging and the pump that pushes the material up to the gun. “Any impurities in the MEKP may cause problems in the sealing and, as a result, a peroxide failure,” explains Christian de Andrade, director of Fibermaq. Also in relation to MEKP, another novelty that the company prepared for the composites molders is a flowmeter. The accessory allows the molder check whether or not the peroxide is mixed with resin and gelcoat. “The flowmeter shows if the MEKP is being pumped and alerts the operator to a problem in the system, allowing the actions to be taken in time.”Finally, Fibermaq changed the filtering system of the tube connected to the resin and gelcoat packaging. With threadedly fitting, rather than screw, and smaller mesh than the previously used, the filter is much more efficient.Founded in 1978, in the city of São Paulo, Fibermaq is a specialist in the manufacture of equipment for molding composites, epoxy and adhesives in general. During this period, more than 5,000 spray-up machines, gelcoat application, RTM injection and filament winding machines, among others, were sold by the company in Brazil and throughout Latin America. In 2015, Fibermaq was elected for the fourth consecutive time the Top of Mind of the Composites Industry in the category “Equipment” – organized by the Latin American Composite Materials Association (ALMACO), it is the industry’s main award.More information: www.fibermaq.com.br
