Acquisition opportunity of a composites manufacturer in India

Baker Tilly Singhi (BTS), an Indian member firm of Baker Tilly International network, announces that its corporate finance section is working on a transation in which an Indian Composites manufacturer is available for acquisition.

This is an opportunity for a global composites manufacturer to enter India with a running plant, product approvals and quality certifications.

The Company is an integrated FRP / GRP composites manufacturer with backward integration in terms of manufacturing thermosetting resins and technical fabric. It has the capability to provide end-to-end solution: right from designing to fabrication and installation. The company had achieved a peak revenue of USD 150+ million in FY12. 

It also has various quality certifications and product approvals as: IRIS certification for rail coach parts, US Dept of Homeland Security approval, GE approved vendor for Windmill blades, etc

The company has facilities for manufacturing thermosetting resins, epoxy resins, phenolic resins and polyester resins.

It had setup the first commercial carbon fibre division, certified and approved by DRDO in India. The total land area of ~160 acres with all utilities like power, water, internal roads, labour, etc.

Technical and Strategic alliances with some of the leading composite manufacturers globally (USA & Germany)and it also a supplier to Indian Railways, Delhi Metro, GE, Suzlon, NTPC, ONGC, etc

It is one of the largest manufacturer in India with following product divisions :

  • rail coach / bus / metro components
  • wind turbine blades (up to 60m)
  • general pultrusions and gratings
  • poles / pipes
  • SMC
  • thermosetting resins
  • technical fabric
  • carbon fibre

The Company is currently into financial stress and its secured lenders have moved to recover the dues. Baker Tilly Singhi (India) has been appointed by the lenders to find acquirers for the company. It's an opportunity for a global composite manufacturer to enter the Indian market with an operational plant and product approvals.
