JEC Group have brought together the international community of composites leaders and executives in our Composites Circle as an unique networking opportunity to meet with both peers and future partners.
During the JEC 2013 tradeshow, Airtech Advanced Materials Group has reinforced its position as a key partner in vacuum bagging and composite tooling technology by always investing in the right material developments and production methods.
The Group presented innovative products and services for resin infusion process and took the opportunity to celebrate 40 years on the composites market with its customers and partners.
During the exhibition, Airtech introduced with success innovative VAC RIC HT & LT, RIA and SILTUBE products, small products for easier resin infusion process. The numerous visitors also highly appreciated the daily vacuum bagging demonstration which showed innovative products and new solutions for hollow section stiffeners.
During the show, Airtech has highlighted the latest product development in its Airseal sealant tape range which can now cover the market needs in the temperature range up to 150°C. All Airseal products (Airseal 2, 2HT, 2ST) are now also available in twin version. Airseal 2 is also available in a bead version (Ø 4 mm).
Amongst other tapes, Airtech presented a new fluoropolymer pressure sensitive tape with a silicone adhesive. Wrightlease 2 provides excellent release performance, good elongation and high gloss finish with a highly visible yellow colour. Toolwright 5 is thicker version of the fluoropolymer film coated with silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. Supplied 122 cm wide with a release backer, Toolwright 5 is ideal for covering mastermodels and moulds for permanent high quality surface release.
The vacuum unit test was presented at JEC show being used to test vacuum integrity of all Airtech vacuum hoses and valves as well as the quick disconnect couplings attached to these hoses and valves.
