Help the end user to have the best experience possible when purchasing and using pultruded profiles. This is the objective of the Latin American Composite Materials Association (ALMACO) with the edition of the Purchase and Inspection Guide for the Pultrusion Market. The online publication gathers hundreds of information that facilitate the daily lives of consumers of profiles – they shape floor grilles, handrails and stairs, among hundreds of other pieces.

Erika Bernardino Aprá, president of ALMACO said:

“The idea of producing the guide came up during the Pultrusion Committee meetings. Participants, most of them profile manufacturers, demonstrated the need to launch a publication that would not only standardize the specification, but level it out, improving the quality of the profiles produced and consumed in Brazil as a whole ”

Very didactic and illustrative, the Purchase and Inspection Guide for the Pultrusion Market opens with general information about composites materials and the pultrusion process, to then detail what should be taken into account during purchase and inspection of profiles. In the sequence, the reader also checks the details about the most common applications of pultruded profiles: cable beds, floor rails, guardrails and stairs.

In addition to downloading the guide for free on ALMACO´s website, interested parties can download a file with the technical sheets of the main resins, mechanical reinforcements and release agents used in the pultrusion process.

The publication of the Purchase and Inspection Guide for the Pultrusion Market was sponsored by the following companies: Cogumelo, CPIC, Enmac, FCI, INEOS Composites, Novapol, Owens Corning, Pultrusão do Brasil, Polynt Reichhold and Stratus.
