Atech has received the GL’s approval for blade repairing in 2012. Atech is the only one in Asia who can perform the wind blade repairing with GL certification.

Atech composites (Atech) has successful manufactured the first 42 meters long wind blade in 2009 and went through the static test at the same year. With the knowledge gained from this project Atech started to develop the blade repair capacity. With almost 2 years of effort Atech has received the GL’s approval for blade repairing in 2012. Atech is the only one in Asia who can perform the wind blade repairing with GL certification.

Atech believes repairing locally does not mean to compromise the quality of repair so Atech planed to follow the international standard of repairing at the beginning. The GL regulation is well organized and has been followed very widely in wind industry. Because of the well reputation of GL, acquiring the GL certification for blade repairing is undoubtedly the quality assurance of repair work. The GL has very exact requirement for repair work. The raw material must be approved by GL. The technicians who will perform the blade inspection and repair must be qualified as well. The repair plan and repair record must be evaluated thoroughly.

The damage of blade in Asia is not always the same as that in Europe. Therefore to develop the repair system with universal standard but adapt to the demand in Asia is another advantage which Atech can offer to the customer.

The wind turbine is designed for operating 24/7. As we all know that the longer the wind turbine operated the more power will be generated, therefore reducing the down time of wind turbine will be an essential task for wind farm owner. Atech has much experience in large composite fabricating and in wind blade manufacturing. These advantages help Atech to develop the blade repairing service. Besides Atech also has many partners in wind industry so Atech can inspect the damage and establish the repair plan quickly and precisely. Not like the other competitors from Euro market, Atech composites can provide the service in Asia market quick and with fair price.
