JEC Group have brought together the international community of composites leaders and executives in our Composites Circle as an unique networking opportunity to meet with both peers and future partners.
JEC Europe 2014 - Automated technology is relevant to a variety of industrial sectors but requires further development to improve its effectiveness.
In July 2013, the Irish Centre for Composites Research (IComp) began a long-term project, designed to develop the effectiveness of such technology and invested in an ATP (Automated Tape Placement) high-spec robot. This state-of-the-art laser powered robot which has been installed at the University of Limerick, Ireland, is unique on the island and is one of less than 7 known to be in European technology centres. IComp has the necessary scientific and engineering expertise to drive this technology forward to give Ireland a leading edge position in the robotic manufacture of composite parts for use in a variety of industrial sectors as diverse as aerospace, renewable energy, offshore oil & gas and high-end automotive.More information: www.icomp.ieBooth: L55
