Axion receives $925,000 order for 100% composite Ecotrax rail ties

The company announced that a major domestic transit line located in the South Central region, has issued a purchase order for $925,000 of Ecotrax composite rail ties made with 100% recycled plastic and plastic composites.

Ecotrax composite rail ties were chosen by the existing customer to be used for an annual spot replacement of rotted wooden ties. The decision to continue the purchase and use of this rail ties was a result of proven durability, time efficiency, and lifecycle cost savings over traditional ties, particularly in the various climates of the South Central region. The purchase order will be issued to support two install projects, with the second phase purchase order to be finalized by the first week of January.
