Due to their outstanding mechanical properties and the lower ecological footprint, flax fibre composites have gained attention over the last couple of years. However, these novel materials struggle to establish themselves in the composites industry. However, their use has now been enabled in many applications thanks to Bcomp’s innovative technologies, significantly boosting their performance. Increased flexural stiffness, low weight and improved damping have triggered an increasing number of producers in the sports-, music- and transport industry as well as in consumer electronics to use Bcomp solutions.
