Over the past year, Beagle has been investing heavily in upgrading its facilities as part of an expansion and restructuring strategy, which has enabled the Company to win business in new markets, such as a recent order in the defence land vehicles sector.

The final element of a one million pound composite upgrade investment has come to fruition at Beagle Technology Group’s facility in Dorset.

Equipment purchases and upgrades include:
• Pre-preg cutter
• Laser projection system
• CATIA 3D computer aided design and manufacturing software
• Autoclave refurbishment
• Clean room facilities
• Security installations

Beagle Technology Group has also added NADCAP Composites to its portfolio of approvals.

John Taylor, Managing Director, commented: « Our latest investment in equipment and upgrades has meant that Beagle is now able to offer our services, skills and experience to industries beyond the aerospace sector, an area we have served for over 50 years. »

« As a direct result of this investment, last July we won a major contract to supply composite pods for the Ministry of Defence’s Light Protected Patrol Vehicle (LPPV) programme. This necessitated expanding our workforce, and provided much-needed new jobs in our local area. »

« We have a proven track record in responding swiftly and flexibly to the needs of our customers, and we have earned a reputation for always delivering on our promises. This is an exciting time for all of us at Beagle: we are building on our rich heritage and unique skills set, across a wide range of technologies, to innovate and win business in new markets. »

As announced on the 24th of August 2011.
