c-m-p announces a positive balance and sets further technological milestones

The Heinsberg-based company is appointing a technical sales manager, presenting an innovative product range and is enhancing its customer services.

The company was founded in 2011. The company founder and managing partner, Rolf Dothagen, gave an appraisal of their attendance at Composites Europe 2015: “When we launched c-m-p GmbH four years ago, our aim was to set new standards in the pro-duction of premium quality, ultra-light materials made from state-of-the-art, high-performance fibres. Our claim was, and is, to provide all our clients, both big and small, with innovative and customer-specific products, maximum flexibility, total reliability and individual professional advice and care. For c-m-p, the success of our company represents an incentive and duty to underpin our strong innovative power with new products that will enable us to align our services even more closely to the needs of our customers.”

The joint venture with DowAksa will allow the company to extend this innovative strength globally and expand further.

Peter Adeshina is appointed as the new technical sales manager
Following the steady growth of and the increasing demand from the automotive industry, c-m-p GmbH will boost its competence as a strong, reliable partner for the international automotive industry on 1st January 2016 with the creation of a newly-created position of technical sales manager. The appointment of Peter Adeshina has enabled c-m-p GmbH to gain another proven expert and industry specialist with over fifteen years of experience in the composite sector, most recently as the senior sales manager at the SGL Group. c-m-p is now ideally placed to assist, advise and support international automotive manufacturers and suppliers.

Innovative resin system expands the product portfolio
With the new fast curing system, CP012, for structural, semi-structural and Class A, c-m-p has again set a new benchmark in the fabrication of prepregs. The innovative resin system enables an extremely short cycle time of less than three minutes and can be used to manufacture specifically designed, pre-dimensionally stable fabric and UD prepregs. Various settings can be applied during the resin formation process to adjust the Tg up to a maximum of 180° C in accordance with customer requirements, thus guaranteeing a shelf life of four weeks. The 120°C CP012 system has demonstrated its high performance and process stability in an automotive series application, not least owing to the cycle time of under three minutes.
