C919 large airliner central wing structure key design passed assessment

In january, the C919 large passenger aircraft composite structure of and central wing structure key design review and assessment meeting has been held in Shanghai.

The Chinese Academy of Engineering Academician, chairman of the large aircraft major special advisory meeting, Zhang Yanzhong, deputy general manager of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), Wu Guanghui, and deputy director of technology equipment industry department of the Ministry of Industry and Information, Li Benjian have attended the meeting.

 

An evaluation expert group with Zhang Yanzhong as the evaluation group leader has been elected during the meeting. The C919 airliner central wing structure key design has passed through the assessment during the meeting.

 

Expert group listened to the C919 large passenger aircraft composite structure design report, C919 airliner composite material structure technology work summary, and both the C919 airliner central wing structure design and the C919 large passenger aircraft manufacturing center wing process scheme.

 

The relevant professional technical documents were submitted to expert group for review and evaluation. A final evaluation on C919 airliner composite material structure design has been made and the next phase of work has been approved to continue carrying out.

 

Mr. Wu Guanghui said at the meeting, C919 large passenger aircraft composite structure design and central wing structure key design passed through the review indicates that the C919 project has made certain achievements. However, this project is still facing challenges, so a continuous hard work should be kept in the late stage of the project.
