A carbon reinforced thermoplastic composite for very low temperature applications

Xenia Materials, an Italian company specialized in engineering and production of polymer-based materials reinforced with carbon fibers, introduces XECARB ST a material developed with high toughness even at very low temperatures.

Presented and featured by the initials ST, Xenia aims to add a new line in the field of thermoplastic matrix composites carbon fiber reinforced.

ST stands for super tough and guarantees these composites to work under the worst conditions with shock resistance even at very low temperatures.

To date, the number one material of this unique family is XECARB2-C30-ST, a thermoplastic matrix with a polyamide base 6 exclusively developed in Xenia laboratories.

XECARB2-C30-ST can be used to develop sports components and equipment (even winter sports). It is good for industrial use to undergo working conditions and also aimed for those markets where low temperatures are a critical factor.
