China first mini pure electric city logistics vehicle developed in Tianjin

Tianjin Qingyuan Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (Tianjin Qingyuan EV) has independently developed the China first mini pure electric city logistics vehicle. Recently, it has completed vehicle model development and entered into the production preparation and marked access approval application stage.

The vehicle body is made of the lightweight SMC composite materials that made the body weight 30% lighter than that of the metal vehicles. This mini pure electric vehicle is expected to realize mass production in May this year.

At the beginning of this year, Tianjin municipal government started the motor tricycle control. A number of the express companies will need to complete the replacement of their existing motor and electric tricycle before May. This mini pure electric vehicle developed by Tianjin Qingyuan EV will become one of the replacement models and enjoy the government subsidies.

On the Tianjin Qingyuan EV trial assembly experiment platform, a white electric mini logistics vehicle is waiting for the last assembly process battery installation. Tianjin Qingyuan EV chief engineer Zhao Chunming pointed to the vehicle and said: "Once the battery system arrives, the sample vehicle reliability test will be carried out as soon as the completion of the whole vehicle assembly, the corresponding matching, debugging, and calibration. The routine strengthen road running reliability experiment at least needs to run tens of thousands of kilometers."

With the support of the Chinese government macro policy, some special vehicle for city public application has its realistic market segments. For example, city logistics, the core cities have high requirements on environmental protection so electric vehicles may be a realistic solution.

There is not a single one mature model in domestic and international market to be taken as the R & D reference. Tianjin Qingyuan EV has performed a complete independent tailored research on this market segment. They need to consider both the costs control and the satisfaction of the end users.

During the design of each single part of the vehicle, the efficiency improvement and the energy utilization have all been throughout considered. It is understood that this electric vehicle will select a set of 13.6 kwh lithium-ion battery system that has a 150 km driving mileage in one single charging.
