China's first 5 MW offshore wind turbine off the production line in Chongqing

China's first 5 MW offshore wind turbine with complete independent intellectual property rights have been taken off the production line in Haizhuang Wind Power production base in North of Chongqing.

This is the largest power generating wind turbine in China. It also set the record of the wind wheel diameter and lightest weight of turbine engine in the world. This wind turbine has won 32 national patents in China.

 

There is only very few countries have 5 MW offshore wind turbine core technology that control the international market pricing.

 

Chongqing Haizhuang Wind Power set up a 200 person R&D team, through 3 years of diligent efforts, they finally achieved success.

 

This 5 MW wind turbine will be transported to the Jiangsu Rudong offshore demonstration wind field, and plan to start generate electricity and connect to the power grid this year.
