Compose sets up new composite processing subsidiary

JEC Europe 2014 - Compose will present its new CT1 subsidiary dedicated to composite processing. 

To meet its customers’ needs and broaden its range of services, Compose set up CT1 in 2013 in a 600m² state-of-the-art composite manufacturing facility equipped with RTM, hot forming, SMC and compression technologies.

• Tool/mould checking (dimensions, operating criteria)
• Tool/mould testing in operating conditions (moulding/demoulding of the first parts)
• Tool/mould acceptance together with customers
• Moulding of first parts and pre-series
• Composite parts machining
• Technical assistance for research projects
• Process development and technology transfer
• Training


• Compression moulding presses: 100T, 250T and 300T
• Heating plates
• Infrared oven (400°C)
• Oven up to 250°C
• Temperature controllers (oil/water) from 30 to 120kW
• 1k and 2K dispensing equipment
• Vacuum equipment for RTM mould control
• Transfer line
• Low-temperature storage equipment (-18°C)
• Control and recording means
• Milling and finishing of composite parts
• 3D control
• Two technical halls of 160 and 360m² equipped with suction piping, a pressurized area and 10T cranes

Several series of tests have already been run successfully for aerospace, automotive and construction applications (RTM, compression and hot forming).
