Composite layup moulds for commercial and military aircraft production

JEC Europe 2014 - Coast Composites announces the opening of an advanced composite tooling facility that produces some of the largest and most complex composite layup moulds for commercial and military aircraft production. 

The facility currently specializes in carbon BMI and epoxy prepreg systems along with resin infusion capability, providing composite tooling solutions for a wide variety of applications. These applications range from prototype and R&D efforts, low-cost short-run tooling to high-temperature production tools.
The composite tooling facility is AS9100C certified and equipped with a 15.25m length by 3.96m diameter autoclave with 1115 m² of clean room space. It has a well-trained workforce experienced in design and manufacturing that has produced over 100 large carbon BMI composite tools.

Coast Composites designs and manufactures large, complex tooling systems for the production of primary and secondary composite structures mainly for the aerospace industry. The company has over 20 years of tooling experience and is considered a world-class manufacturer of metallic (Invar) tooling systems, manufacturing some of the largest metallic cure tools to support rate production of Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 fuselage and wing panels.
