Creative Composites invests for growth

The UK advanced composites manufacturer, have ordered another state-of-the-art compression moulding press for their composites manufacturing facility in Northern Ireland. This press will be used to meet growing demand for high quality composite components in the automotive, aerospace, truck, bus, and construction sectors.

Creative Composites collaborates with global OEMs in each of these sectors by providing a unique combination of expertise in composite design, efficient manufacturing and focused customer service.

The compression moulding process at Creative Composites provides a number of benefits to customers such as good part to part repeatability, low cycle times, ability to add many design features, excellent dimensional stability and efficient use of material.

Jonathan Holmes, Commercial Director at Creative Composites, stated “we are delighted to confirm that the company is expanding capacity by investing in a fourth compression moulding press. The press will generate 1,500T of moulding pressure and be capable of processing tools of up to 3 metres by 2 metres in size. The press will use the most advanced technology available within the industry and include innovative features such as an active levelling system. Another important feature is that the press has been specifically designed to reduce energy consumption by a massive 20%.”
