CRP Group expands “custom production”

News International-French

16 Apr 2013

The CRP Group continues to move forward with technical innovations that make them a valuable partner for high-performing sectors.

CRP has successfully integrated engineering development, CNC machining, and 3D Printing (Additive Manufacturing) processes together with innovative materials to create a continuously improving product development system.

The Italian company has now added a large frame laser sintering system to its arsenal of tools:  The 3D System’s Sinterstation Pro 140.

This new machine represents an important continuation of CRP Technology development. The larger system will allow the team at CRP to produce the largest Windform parts and components, due to the increased volume of the new Sinterstation. The machine has a capacity of 140 liters and the working area measures 550x550x460mm. In addition the machine will also employ a digital scanning system, including real-time LASER monitoring and calibration, intelligent thermal controls, a rapid change module, and an integrated recycling station.

CRP Technology will be able to produce both production components and prototypes directly from STL CAD interface, assuring the maximum freedom to produce complex designs.

The CRP Groups’ expansion of CRP Technology makes the team one of the largest 3D Printing companies in Italy. It can count on 7 professional printers for Additive Manufacturing and is joined to the strong presence of CRP Meccanica for CNC machining solutions.  This guarantees high quality standards for finished products, as well as multiple options for production.  Thanks to the Windform line, this allows for the creation of highly-functional and beautifully finished parts suitable for multiple applications. CRP Additive Manufacturing materials have given birth to global products that require superior mechanical and aesthetic properties.

3D Printing becomes manufacturing when applied with materials like Windform that have high quality and high strength.

The CRP Group continues to hold the highest standard of quality thanks to innovation, as well as to a dedicated team who apply their talents from basic material research, and to the improvement and development of new machine technologies.

CRP continues to foster a new revolution in both manufacturing and product development.
